🛒 Walmart reported 2.6% growth in U.S. comparable sales for its latest quarter, its slowest pace in more than six years. The measure includes sales at stores open at least a year and related online sales.

The retailer said shoppers were pulling back as fuel costs rose. Comparable sales were also affected by lower pharmacy revenue after federal rules capped prices on some high-cost Medicare drugs.

Revenue still rose 5.9% to $187.9 billion, and Walmart’s U.S. e-commerce business grew 24%. Walmart said it would use tariff refunds to temporarily cut prices on 11,000 items, mainly groceries and general merchandise.

📉 Shares fell more than 8% after the report. Walmart raised its full-year net-sales outlook to 4%–5%, but investors viewed the guidance as cautious; the company expects about $2 billion in additional fuel costs this year.
