Thornley Kelham launches 'European RS' 911: Pistonheads

I'm going to be unkind in my opinions, but be assured that I am holding back. I've made multiple unkind posts about restomods in the past, but I've also lauded the good ones.
Yet another goofy-ass, poorly-proportioned, frankly ugly 6,000 hour waste of goddamn time from a shop that probably knows better but also knows that someone was willing to pay them over 750,000GBP to end up with something that looks like an Eastern Bloc Singer.
Jesus fuck, the front is ugly. Look, what if we take all the balance out of the front of a Carrera RS bumper, mate it with a Chinese concept car circa 2007, and then put insectoid LED projectors inside the headlights to really complete the absolute and utter faff we started? Eddie the fucking Eagle could use the splitters to set another record.
The sharp edges on the fenders blending with the softness of the bumpers is true testament to the ten-quid design work they got from Fiverr.
Moving to the engine compartment, sweet-ass air cleaner elements. I appreciate the number of crinkled pleats, gives it a home-built vibe that every millionaire appreciates. It seems a decent spec, if a bit too big and powerful for the chassis. These cars are best with less power and displacement.
The tail lights, which ape faded 964 lights for some unknown reason, are incredible*. *If incredible means look like the product of an ASBO lad's Saturday night binging with a tin of acetone and red rattle can.
The customer is always right in matters of taste, but there's no taste here. It checked out, boarded its flight, and went right the fuck back home.
I had to see it, and now I can't unsee it, so I'm sharing the horror with you.
