The Perixx ergonomic mouse PERIMICE-715II I bought before was indeed pretty good. However, it was too light, causing the cursor to drift every time I clicked the left or middle button, which was really hard to get used to.
So, after using it for a week or two, I shelved it. Several years later, thinking it might be time to continue my wrist protection plan of alternating between the ergonomic mouse and the M950, I searched around and tried out various options.
Finally, I purchased the "Lift Ergonomic Vertical Mouse" from Logitech.
