How do I stop an actor getting botox/facial surgery from making me enjoy a show less?
It's happened to me with the new seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the revival season of Scrubs. These two are some of my favourite shows but then half of the main cast gets botox or they do something to their faces because they don't like getting old... Look, I'm not judging the actors for doing it, it's not my business, but when I'm watching those shows those characters now look a little uncanny and can't emote with their faces very well, and it distracts me and it detracts a little from my enjoyment. And I don't want that, I still think the writing is solid and the jokes are funny! I feel so shallow for complaining about this, but I do think it affects their acting somewhat. Is there any way I can get this to stop bothering me?
