Hello I'm writing a story taking place in 1980s US .
There's one question which was bugging me a lot. How common was it for 12- 15 year old in 1980 - 1985 to smoke and if they did what was the reason to do it. I know it was a bit common for kids to smoke during the 40s- 60s with all the war and stuff but I'm not sure about the 80s or 90s.
