The Philippine Air Force received the first batch of five S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters from PZL Mielec of Poland, which was delivered to Clark Air Base by an Antnov An-124 Ruslan civilian strategic transport aircraft.
PZL Mielec and the DND confirmed earlier this year that the first batch would be delivered by June 2024.
The helicopters are part of an order for 32 units. The helicoptets will undergo in-country inspections and tests before inducted into service with the PAF's 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing.
