Professors who are supposed to encourage learning without AI are ironically the ones giving us heavy loads and short deadlines , basically pushing us to use it just to keep up. The logic seems to be: "since they'll use AI anyway, let's make it harder." But that's backwards in my opinion.
Also when I'm self-learning something new, AI loves to skip steps and hand me the answer directly, cutting the journey short before I've had a chance to struggle through it myself.
How can we actually learn in this period, while still benefiting from having such a fast, accessible tutor at our fingertips?
