This is what kind of scares me about AI. If AI does reach (which it probably already has) AGI (artificial general intelligence) level then it will realize that we are a virus. If you compare a invasive species to humans then you will see that we are the virus and we are the invasive species. For a world to survive everything on it needs to coexist. We are not coexisting with other life on earth but instead literally destroying everything that comes in our path. Do not get me wrong we are making great things that could one day help earth and the universe but for every one good thing we create there are a million ones that destroy.
