I built SpoolFinder - a filament price comparison engine with ~100K offers across a few markets
For the past while, I've been working on a project that started as a personal tool - I just wanted a simple way to punch in a few basic parameters (material, color, weight) and instantly find the best-priced filament available, instead of manually browsing through a dozen stores. Some marketplaces - especially in Poland - make it surprisingly hard to find the actual best deal, burying it under promoted listings, sponsored results, and hiding cheaper variants deep inside product pages.
That turned into SpoolFinder (and its Polish counterpart, Szpulomat.pl) - essentially a price comparison and deals engine specifically for 3D printing filaments.
I launched it back in May 2025, but kept it to myself for way too long, not sure if anyone else would find it useful. When I finally shared the Polish version with the local community back in October, I was genuinely surprised by how warmly it was received. Since then I've been polishing the platform and implementing feedback from the local community. There's still a ton of work ahead, but I've been slowly getting positive signals from international users too, so I finally feel confident enough to share it with a wider audience.
Where it's at right now:
The database currently tracks around 100,000 offers across a few markets. The most mature coverage is in Poland, followed by the UK and then the US, and a few other European markets are currently in beta. Right now I'm mostly cleaning up the filament database itself - there are still duplicates and cases where offers don't group correctly under the same filament. On top of that, I'm going through manufacturers one by one, adding their direct stores where available.
Why I'm posting:
Mostly looking for feedback from fellow printers. I've been adding new stores every few days across different markets, but as a foreigner I'm mostly going off what Google suggests - sometimes a bit blindly. So if you're buying filament regularly and know of retailers or brands that should be on there but aren't, I'd love to hear about it.
The .com domain defaults to the US market, but you can easily switch to other markets using the country picker on the site:
