A fierce battle ensued. Eventually the 11-century-old kingdom fell to the Muslims. The great battle killed 265,000 Muslim troops. The churches that stood on the land of Constatinople were eventually torn down and replaced by mosques. Konstatinopel became the center of the Ottoman Empire and was renamed Istanbul.

The language style is coherent, flowing and the strong depiction of the place and time setting makes the reader like being immersed in every story told.
