Building a free analysis app that helps identify weakness patterns
I started building it for my sons who play chess (one is 2100+ ELO and another is 1800+). Coming from engineering and trading background, I understand the importance of identifying patterns and realised that the same is applicable to chess as well.
Most analysis apps provide game by game analysis which is certainly useful but it's equally important to look at the bigger picture to see if there are any mistakes you keep repeating. e4coach helps identify such patterns from your past games. I categorised these patterns into 8 categories as mentioned below:
* Hanging pieces
* Missed tactics
* Opening inaccuracies
* Failing to convert
* Defending under pressure
* Endgame technique
* Time management
* Positional drift
App shows the top 3 weakness patterns which are most prominent from your games so you can work on those. As of now, app supports importing games from your lichess account, from lichess studies and direct PGN import.
