Finally quit my remote job after 5 years due to being underpaid…on my last day of work I was told my paycheck would be withheld until they received the work laptop.
Like title says, my last day of my 2 week notice was last Tuesday June 30th, I was excited to finally put this chapter behind me and start a new and sadly it turned into a nightmare. I’m not even sure if I can report my boss because I’m an immigrant working remotely from California for an IT company in Philadelphia😞
As soon as they told me I immediately ran to fedex to ship it back and emailed them the tracking number and receipt of proof I sent them the laptop, they still haven’t payed me. Any advice on what I can do ?
