Lithuania, Vilnius Feb. 8-13 2024
'The G-Spot of Europe' is their official slogan but I couldn't find it!
This trip was more of a pub than a city tour and I can tell you Vilnius has alot of these!
Overall a very friendly (while shy) folk. If you want meaningful conversations you better make the first move!
Feels like you could ask anybody for help in any situation though and not get rejected or beaten up.
I felt super safe there, no tourist scams not many beggers and the few i met were very polite, even at night. Just don't talk politics at the club if you are edgy.
Lost my bag Day 1 but got it back the next day, which also is a proof of their honesty.
The food was questionable but I enjoyed the international cuisine I couldn't eat much this trip anyway so I can't judge.
I did eat their famous ' cold redbeet soup with kefir' and drank t heir fermented bread soda Kvass (sounds disgusting but is actually refreshing) however.
It is quite touristy so I'm not sure how many actual locals I met but we found someone that knows our stuff from newgrounds.com at the first pub we went to which blew me away, it's a small and connected world.
I would recommend Vilnius if you're a man of culture because Vilnius has many museums and a great and brutal mix of architecture to look at. (Though it also worked out for us uncultured swines who'd rather spent their time at international pubs. Nightlife was vibrant and elegant )
Places are open on sundays and some of the mainroads are blocked on weekends so it feels really charming to walk on the main alleys
Prices are absolutely reasonable and for such a hot-spot I found it quite cheap . We've mainly stayed in the center so I'm sure you can find a lot of hidden gems squatered through this rather large city. Am still sleep deprived so it's a quick recap but maybe it made you curious for more!

It really is a sight to behold. Very international place with europes oldest university and just overal pretty even in winter ( it's better in summer i heard!)

I always lose him (Sqeezy) too! He got lost in Iceland and now Lithuania but he just keeps coming back! Oh and right I didn't mention the weather. It was very mixed, good to have several layers of clothing because it does get quite cold in the winter but not freezing cold. We had snow, rain and a day of sunshine so it was a mix of everything. It's nicer there in summer as there's more sunlight hours.

Awesome! It's a hidden gem really but I want to go somewhere tropical next 😅 Newgrounds isn't my site ofcourse I was just a user like many others that grew up with it pre-youtube times it was the most fun you could have on the web. and it really turned me into a creator and got the whole animation journey going. Great memories and amazing that it still exists and brings creators together
