Witnessed Naseem Shah being extremely rude to Serena Hotel staff today
I witnessed a really disappointing interaction at the gym reception at Serena Hotel Islamabad today involving Naseem Shah.
I was there with a friend when he came into the Maisha Spa/gym reception. The receptionist, who was extremely polite, greeted him with something along the lines of, “Welcome to Maisha Spa. Can I have your room number please?”
There was hardly anyone there, and from where I was sitting it seemed very difficult for him not to have heard her. He continued walking towards the gym without responding. She then had to call after him again more than once asking, sir excuse me. can I have your room number please?
His response was: For what?
She politely explained that they have a check-in process and needed his room number. He eventually gave it to her and then in a noticeably rude and dismissive tone said happy now?
I found the whole interaction quite unpleasant to witness.
The receptionist was simply doing her job and remained courteous throughout. Being famous shouldn’t mean hotel staff are expected to recognize you, waive procedures for you, or accept being spoken to disrespectfully.
