Portal test in the few days I’ve had it.
I received the portal on Wednesday and did a few test here’s what I saw.
1.At home: flawless and fast connecting and works great, only time I saw a dip in quality was when I was downloading two games while also playing portal. So I paused download and that helped.
2.At the office: connected to WiFi and work 20 minutes away from home. Quality is on par playing at home. Did Overwatch (played as Orisa and had no issues may be different with a more precision character). Did a few laps on GT7 and it was amazing, I was honestly shocked.
3.Hot spot on LTE traveling between two towns (25 minute drive) in my community: leaving one town had great connection while driving and played gt7 the whole way between. Lost connection between towns and had a few dropped frames. Also took a bit to connect to PlayStation.
4.Hot spot with 5G traveling between two towns: took same route back but with 5G on and had no drops and the occasional drop in quality and frames. Was able to stay connected in between the entire time and was fully playable. Our community population is 240,000 and we traveled to a town with 8000 population. Was able to connect to PlayStation quicker this time.
Games we’ve tried so far, Spyro trilogy, gran turismo 7, sackboy, overwatch, Olli olli, and steep.
Note: I saw roughly 8gb of data on hot spot go through in 50 mins to an hour of play in my scenario.
