A Time Lapse Video of the 4 percent Partial Solar Eclipse of August 12, 2026 from Washington DC
This time lapse was made, under cloudy conditions, from a 1h 16 min video recorded at 30 fps in raw (avi) mode in Washington D.C. on August 12, 2026, using a Seestar S50 telescope with its manufacturer-provided solar filter. A time interval of 2s was used for the time lapse mode. The video was processed in PIPP to center, crop and stabilize the images and the output was avi, just as in the source. The result was converted to MP4 using HandBrake. The MP4 was edited in DaVinci Resolve 21 to trim, stabilize, crop and color grade it.
