Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost Mission 1 has successfully landed on the moon’s Mare Crisium on Sunday, March 2, at 4:34 p.m. (Manila time), carrying 10 NASA science and technology instruments.
In this photo from the lunar surface, earth appears as a small, pale blue circle in the sky.
NASA says the lander is set to operate for one lunar day (14 Earth days), capturing images and videos of a lunar eclipse and sunset from the moon’s perspective.
