LPT use a small animal hand puppet to teach young kids how to interact with actual animals.
Growing up my dad had a hand puppet he called killer rabbit. It came out whenever a new child came to the house. He would have the puppet hide and growl if the child was to loud or aggressive with petting the rabbit. If the child was nice to the rabbit the rabbit would attack with tickles.
It is only now i have kids that i realise he was using this as a way to teach the kids how to approach our pets as well as protecting the pets.
It also meant we didn't have to worry how a pet might react if a kid was to rough #entertainment source
