IBONG ADARNA IN REAL LIFE 🦜
The Philippine Trogon is considered as the real-life version of the bird from the tale "Ibong Adarna," says DENR Davao Region.
Male Trogons have black heads, pink chests, and vivid red bellies, while females glow in mustard-yellow and olive tones.
"Its sound is similar to a horse’s neigh, with descending series of notes that initially accelerates before gradually slowing down," DENR Davao Region wrote.
