Hey, I’m wondering if anyone online has any idea how to help me? I’ve been stuck in this place for a couple days, and only just found reception and a way to charge my phone.
For background I’m 23, I live with my parents out on rural Wyoming, middle of nowhere. One night I decided to get sloshed in a field, as you do. And I woke up in the middle of a small city. Small as in the buildings, cars, and trees being teeny tiny. I only woke up from my deep hangover rest when I rolled over and a car alarm went off right in my ear. That didn’t help my hangover and I walked through the city for about an hour wondering if I was just so drunk I had started hallucinating. I drank some water from a park fountain (tasted like nickels, do not recommend) and started actually realizing what was going on. If I had a guess, I’d say I’m maybe 80 feet tall? Closer to ninety. At least in comparison to everything else here.
When I started wandering I tried to look for people, I thought maybe this was just a tiny world, and people had evacuated like I was Godzilla. But everything seemed pristine, there weren’t papers in the streets, no bikes left unattended, no animals even. It honestly looked like one of those scale dioramas of a town, and I thought it was so. Maybe I got kidnapped by some freak who liked trapping people in his tiny world. But after I looked into the window of a building and saw a clean, neat office fit with cubicles and chairs, then accidentally crushed a car and saw the oil pool on the ground, I was convinced this was just some tiny place.
I have absolutely no idea where I’m supposed to be, the town I woke up in wasn’t familiar at all. I tried looking at signs and billboards to find a language in case I dropped in some other country, but they’re all in English, and usually an assortment of letters that make no sense or spell out something that wouldn’t fit being on a billboard. The first time I calmed down after realizing what was going on was when I saw a billboard with a pig on it that said “hsLETTucefi”, but when I looked closer I saw that the pig wasn’t a pig, but like someone drew a tattoo of a pig, and then smeared Vaseline on it. It was creepy and didn’t help my mood at all.
I got out of the city after three hours there, I don’t keep a watch on me but I think it was about that long. I went through my pockets and found that my phone was at about 12%, so I turned it off until I absolutely needed it. I tried calling 911, my parents, anyone but nothing went through, and my clock was on the fritz. It didn’t show any numbers but said “Easegen”, which was strange especially because nothing else in my phone had changed. Outside of the city were some groups of houses spread out and then plains. If I had to compare it to regular size the entire city would be about 200 feet by 260 feet, which even if it was scaled up would be drastically small for a town to have skyscrapers.
I decided my best way to get out would be to walk in one direction and just find the exit, if there was one. I found a highway (which had 32 lanes and narrowed down to 1 at some points) and just followed it. While following the road I found many strange occurrences, a notable one being a bright neon blue river that tasted like cooked steak maybe a mile (regular length) out from the town. I followed the road for a long while. Long enough for my feet to start hurting so I took a break and sat down by the side of a lake (normal color this time, didn’t taste it). I felt how deep it was because I wanted to see if I could soak my feet in it, but found it was only 2 inches deep, and completely smooth on the bottom.
After my rest I followed the road for a while. It’s hard to keep track of time, at some times it seems deliberate. The days here feel way too short, if I could guess only about 6 hours or so. So I’d say I followed the road for two of this worlds days before I started feeling hungry, very hungry. I don’t concentrate well and often forget to eat, so this hunger wasn’t too alien to me. What worried me most was how I’d get any food. There aren’t any animals, and there weren’t many areas that were big enough to have restaurants. But after another hour I found a solution to my hunger.
I had found a corn field, it looked like cattle feed but to my giant teeth it was no match. Luckily the corn field stretched on for so long that it dipped over the horizon, and the corn was perfectly ripe and growing, so I had enough to last a couple days. I went back to the highway and found that after another quarter mile it stopped abruptly, there was still space for a road though, so I followed that too. But after a while it narrowed and I couldn’t follow it anymore.
After that I just decided to follow any structure I could see in one direction. I found a “giant” cow statue (it would have been massive in the regular world, but here it was about hip height to me), I found a “Mcgricksssss” with a sign the size of a regular soccer ball but a restaurant the size of a grape, and I found a ballon tied to a tree (less weird then the rest but better than the mundanity of fields and townhouses). I didn’t this for a bit, until I found a cell tower and was able to get my phone service. Nearby was also a power plant with a plug in its side wall that fit the pocket charger I keep in my wallet. I’ve decided to bunker up here, but I drew an arrow in the direction I was going so I’d know where I should leave.
I have no idea how to get out of this place and am hoping in a last ditch effort that you guys could help me. I’ve tried other places but this is the only place I think will work. I’m starting to miss my family and I’ve been on edge basically the entire time I’ve been here, I can’t shake the feeling that something’s watching me. #entertainment source
