Guarding the Portal: Inu's Birthday Bash & the Magic of Tribal Yoga
This past weekend, I stood as a doorkeeper during a sacred two-night ceremony with the Huni Kuin, celebrating Inu’s birthday.
There was a moment—I swear time cracked open—when I felt Inu’s ancestors brushing past me, entering the space with quiet reverence. Their presence was undeniable. The energy was soft, yet charged.
The tribe moved like the forest—humble, rhythmic, wild in their wisdom. Their songs, their smiles, the way they hold each other… it’s medicine in itself.
🌳 Why the Huni Kuin Matter
The Huni Kuin are one of the last lineages still carrying the intact memory of the forest. They live in the heart of the Amazon, across dozens of villages, each a sanctuary of ancient knowledge and community resilience.
But they’re under threat.
From deforestation.
From extractive industries.
From cultural erosion.
Protecting them means protecting the forest.
And protecting the forest means protecting the Earth’s lungs, the climate, the spirit of life itself.
They’re not just “indigenous people.” They’re keepers of ceremony, of song, of sacred ecology . When they share their medicine with us, they’re not just giving—they're trusting. They’re inviting us to remember what it means to live in harmony.
🌿 About the Medicines
Huni Kuin plant medicine isn’t about escaping—it’s about remembering .
They work with powerful teachers like Nixipae (ayahuasca) , Rapé (sacred snuff) , Sananga (eye drops) , and others that connect you to the spirit of the forest and yourself.
These aren’t “substances.”
They’re relationships.
They’re prayers in botanical form.
Used in the right context—with respect, song, and intention—they help clean your vision, open your heart, and guide you back to your path.
🌀 What is Tribal Yoga Common?
Tribal Yoga Dao is my offering back.
It’s not a style or brand. It’s not mine to own. It’s a living practice—a breathing organism —inspired by ceremony, tribal rhythm, and yogic awareness.
Tribal Yoga invites you to:
→ Move like your nature.
→ Listen like the forest.
→ Trust your body’s wisdom.
→ Decentralize the teacher. Recenter the Self.
It’s a co-created, open-source path for those who feel the call to integrate the teachings of the forest with the intelligence of the body.
If any of this resonates with your heart, here’s how you can support:

We're not here to save the Earth.
We're here to remember we are the Earth.
