Greetings and welcome to the 17th story of my fiction series called #FairyWonderfulStories ! This story is entitled, "The King's Clock". Enjoy!

"The kingdom of Silleria was a bright and bustling place filled with many amenities. It was there that lived a king named Reginald lived. He was immortal and had all the decorations and golden clothes that money could buy. He was envied by many and loved by all. But one day, as he was walking through the streets of his grand kingdom, he saw something that made him lose his mind.

It was an ordinary ticking clock that he had never seen before. The clock was strapped to a passerby's wrist, and Reginald couldn't believe his eyes. How had he, the most powerful king in all of Silleria, not gotten this latest contraption? It was inconceivable!

Reginald stormed back to his castle, throwing a hilarious fit of rage. He tore through his chambers, tossing aside his piles of gold and jewels, screaming for someone to bring him the latest ticking clock. He was acting so foolishly that he almost didn't recognize himself in the mirror.

When he did finally catch a glimpse of himself, he saw the absurdity of his behavior. He laughed so hard that the walls of his castle shook, and he felt the weight of his ego lift off his shoulders. At that moment, he realized that all the gold and jewels in the world couldn't compare to the simple joy of being alive.

With a newfound sense of liberation, Reginald decided to do things that he would have never done before. He started tap dancing in his chambers with reckless abandon, watching his legs jiggle in rhythm with the beat. He tried on all sorts of silly hats and posed for the mirror, delighted by his ridiculousness.

As the days went on, Reginald became a different sort of king. He ruled with kindness and laughter, and his kingdom flourished under his joyful leadership. He may not have gotten that latest ticking clock, but he had something far more valuable - a sense of humor and an appreciation for the simple things in life.

And so, with a twinkle in his eye, Reginald bid farewell to all his dear subjects, thanking them for the many lessons learned. "Thank you for keeping me grounded, and never letting me forget what's important," he smiled before leaving the palace."
