Dexter Holland is the lead singer of The Offspring, and he is an interesting person. Growing up he was equally obsessed with punk rock and advanced mathematics. He graduated from high school in the top of his class and got his bachelor's degree in biology at a prestigious university (USC). He formed one of the biggest bands of the late 1990s. He created a hot sauce brand called Gringo Bandito. He said that he would rather be a college professor than a rock star, so he earned a Masters Degree in Molecular Biology, then earned his PhD in Molecular Biology. His Doctoral thesis was titled "Identification of Human MicroRNA-Like Sequences Embedded within the Protein-Encoding Genes of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus". He is credited for discovering critical science used to treat HIV AIDS. He received his pilot's license, which he uses to fly his own private jet. The jet features an Anarchy symbol on the tail.

I've been on an Offspring kick for the past 2 weeks. And yeah, known this about Dexter. I think it's so fascinating.
Many just thought that his just a singer of rock and roll song but his rocks his world while helping others. Hats off 💖
