Who is the most underrated Pokemon ever?
In my humble opinion, Sentret is certainly a Pokemon that often gets overlooked, but there are several good arguments for why it could be considered one of the greatest underrated Pokemon:
- **Versatility**: Sentret may seem like a weak and unimpressive Pokemon at first glance, but it has a surprisingly versatile move pool that allows it to fulfill a variety of roles on a team. It can learn moves like Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Substitute, which can be useful for status spreading and stalling. It can also learn moves like U-turn and Baton Pass, which allow it to quickly switch out and pass stat boosts to teammates.
- **Early game usefulness**: Sentret is often found in the early routes of the Pokemon games, and can be a useful addition to a team in the early game. Its Normal typing gives it a good amount of neutrality, and it can learn moves like Quick Attack and Fury Swipes that allow it to deal damage quickly.
- **Cute design**: While aesthetics may not be the most important factor when it comes to choosing a Pokemon, Sentret's cute and endearing design makes it a fan favorite among those who appreciate its charm.
- **Nostalgia factor**: For those who grew up playing the second generation of Pokemon games, Sentret may hold a special place in their hearts as one of the first Pokemon they encountered on their journey. This nostalgia factor can make Sentret a beloved and underrated Pokemon for many fans.
- **Hidden potential**: While Sentret may not seem like a powerhouse on its own, it has the potential to evolve into Furret, which has higher stats and a more impressive move pool. This hidden potential may make Sentret a worthwhile investment for trainers who are willing to put in the time and effort to train it.
While Sentret may not be the most impressive Pokemon at first glance, there are many arguments for why it is a great underrated Pokemon that deserves more recognition and it's very nostalgic for me to play with a Sentret on my team.
Also, Sentret has sentimental value for me because of the times I spent with my family when I was a teenager between 2000 and 2005 playing video games with my cousins on the GBC Game Boy Advance, and GameCube not to mention the fact they live 5 hours away from me.
It just brings back memories of spending time with them while making the trip up there looking forward to spending my summer with my best friends also known as my cousins I still keep in contact with today.
