Needing this object is pushing me buy a 3D printer
So we bought a house with a pool a few years ago and somehow all the equipment is from an Australian company- it is high quality and I really don’t feel like replacing it but buying little plastic pieces when something breaks and having it shipped from Australia is kind of insane.
The collar that holds down the lid on the pump strainer basket, fell off the shelf and shattered- they want over $100 for this piece even before shipping- it is about 7 inches total width and just holds down the clear domed lid- it has an male thread on the inside- I can probably find exactly what thread it is. It’s kind of like a big jar lid with a hole on top - My question is, is this a doable project with the 3-D printer? I’m thinking of buying? (Bamboo lab p1s). I’m not really asking which 3-D printer to buy, just seeing if this is a reasonably doable project. I have experience working with CNC’s and use cad for my work in civil engineering- so I have some spatial awareness, but in brand new to 3-D printing. Any help appreciated! #technology source
