Are there any kinds of murder-mystery-in-a-box-type dinner party games that aren't murder mysteries?
I've thrown a murder mystery party the last several years (Freeform Games, Shot In The Dark Mysteries, etc.), and they've been really fun! But I'd like to mix it up a little bit. Do there exist any boxed dinner party games with the elements of a murder mystery party (plot, character roles, scripted elements/pacing, played standing and mingling, and all social-based - no or few mechanics or numbers), but have a plot besides a murder mystery? Maybe something like an escape room in a box, but I haven't found ones that have characters and promote conversation. Something collaborative would be awesome (so no one has to worry about being singled out as a suspect), but open to anything!
