LPT: If you get water in your Android phone speaker, play a 165Hz sine wave for about a minute, gets the water out way faster than waiting for it to dry.

Dropped my phone in the sink a few days ago. Speaker was muffled and crackly, that horrible underwater sound. Tried shaking it, leaving it to dry, nothing was really working.

Remembered there's a Siri Shortcut for iPhones that plays a tone to push the water out. Looked up if you could do it manually on Android and found a tone generator app. Set it to 165Hz sine wave, held it speaker-down for about 45 seconds. Little drops of water actually came out of it. I felt like an idiot standing there with my phone upside down but it genuinely worked.

165Hz is what I used, saw it mentioned somewhere online, idk if its the perfect number but it did the job. I tried a couple other frequencies first and they seemed less effective.

Don't use a hairdryer, just the tone. Works way better if you do it right away while its still wet.
