Why exactly do educated people fall for fake news?
I was scrolling through Facebook earlier and came across a post from a friend of my father who is married to an Australian.
What puzzles me is that this person is a professional nurse and by all accounts, a very competent and intelligent one. Yet despite being well-educated, she still seems to subscribe to DDS narratives without questioning them.
It makes me wonder: has Facebook become so oversaturated with misinformation that the news many OFWs consume is dominated by fake or misleading content? Or is it simply a case of people no longer caring whether the information they read is accurate, choosing instead to believe whatever aligns with the narratives they've already accepted as truth?
