🧠 Newcomb's Paradox (The All-Knowing Predictor)

An alien predictor who is 99.9% accurate offers you two boxes. Box A has $1,000. Box B has either $1,000,000 or $0. If the alien predicted you'd take only Box B, he put $1M inside. If he predicted you'd take both boxes, Box B is empty. Do you take Box B only, or both boxes?

💡 SCIENCE BEHIND THE ILLUSION:

This splits philosophers in two: 1) Causal decision theorists take BOTH boxes because the money is already in the box (the past cannot change). 2) Evidential decision theorists take ONE box because taking both strongly correlates with finding Box B empty! Neither side has surrendered in 50 years.
