Male personal Hygene Fugal Experiment
I am male. I buy Gillette Speed Stick deodorant. There are 2 things that bug me about it. 1:The length of the deordorant inside is smaller than actual platic housing that it ships. Considerably smaller. Try it. Open a brand new stick. Thread the deodorant out all the way. Compare it to the length of the plastic housing. 2: It also bugs me that when you get near the end of the stick, the plastic floor starts digging into your arm pit. You can't easily use the last of the deodorant. It gets tossed out and you start with a new stick.
I had an idea. I saved 6 pieces of the remaining ends of the deordorant stick. I heated them up on low heat in a small stainless steel pot. I melted the deodorant down into a liquid. I poured it back into an empty plastic housing. It worked like a hot damn! Left to cool, it re-hardened and threads up the applicator, just like a brand new one. A free stick of deodorant! I estimate it will take 10-12 ends, to make 1 full new stick. I can't speak to women's deodorant or any antiperspirant as I never use it, or tried melting it down. Good luck and have fun.
