Boardgame etiquette: I hate boardjackers: People who poach players when a game session is organized!
Me: Organizes a boardgame session - with four players at a cafe
Unrelatedguy: Asks if we have a game night in a private message.
Me: I tell him that we have a game night tonight. Tells him that all slots are full.
Unrelatedguy: Says he and his wife will just come and play their own boardgames in the cafe.
Me: Says ok
Unrelatedguy: Arrives and then tries to poach one of my players to try and join their boardgame! My player says no.
Me: I tell unrelatedguy that I'll give up my slot at MY table so he can pair up with his wife and come join our game session.
Unrelatedguy leaves with his wife making at excuses that his wife feels ill.
I hate people like these. They should organize their own game night!
