🖐In the spring and summer of 2023, I saw some homeless people in the lobby of Taichung City Railway Station. Many large cities are unable to avoid homeless people, and Taichung City is no exception. They all have their own stories of wandering away from home. They don't ask for help from others, they just give them indifferent eyes... 😲

Despite their resilience in navigating life on the streets, it's disheartening that they're met with indifference instead of support and compassion. It's crucial for society to acknowledge the humanity and dignity of every individual, regardless of their housing situation. By offering understanding and assistance, we can help affirm their worth and provide pathways to support and stability.
They do need to be understood, supported and helped, although most people don't care much about them. Taiwan's local government has agencies that directly help homeless people, and Taiwan's religious groups also contribute, especially Buddhism, which often helps homeless people.
