Firework Galaxy widefield

I was debating shooting this at a wider focal length, but decided to give it a shot—and I’m glad I did.

This was captured using LRGB, with Ha added to bring out the nebulosity in the galaxy’s arms. After about 20 hours of integration time spread across multiple days (thanks to the clouds!), I’m pretty happy with how this turned out.

I may give it another go at a much longer focal length next time, with the goal of focusing more closely on the galaxy itself.

That's stunning! How did the Ha filter change the final look compared to just LRGB?
