Anyone familiar Piero Umiliani?
I just heard his song Produzione off of Leon Vynehall’s fabric mix album and I can’t believe this song was released in 1973. It sounds like a modern techno track. Is Umiliani considered a pioneer in techno music? Are there other artists like him who were making tracks like this in the early 70s or earlier?

He wasn't a pioneer of techno but he did some mad psychedelica and incredibly experimental stuff. I have everyone of his albums and he did make many movies soundtracks as well...
