Are houses only decorated with lights and stuff on ruksati/walima?
I (F) have my nikkah next month and I wanted the house to be decorated with lights. However, my mother is adamant that on nikkah the house doesn't get decorated like this and this only happens on ruksati. I am pretty certain my father would also be of the same opinion.
Idk much I wanted to confirm whether I am being unreasonable or my fam?
