My coworker just quit because I asked if she was still contagious??
Hey guys so my coworker got a MRSA infection and had like open sores and a rash. This developed since Tuesday and just yesterday she was showing me and another coworker photos of her rash worsening. She didn’t once mention that she is not contagious anymore. So me and my other coworker were caught off guard when she announced she was coming to work today. We asked if she was still contagious and she said she’s not and feels better. We expressed our concerns seeing the rash yesterday.
She then snapped and said “if you think I’m contagious then FINE IM gonna grab my stuff and go”. So she came in and left her id and grabbed some stuff from her desk and left without saying anything. We thrn apologized and said we didn’t mean any offence and she said oh now we’re concerned and that if we think she’s contagious then why would we work with her. We’re just so confused cause it seems so random and I feel we were valid?? I know this girl has been having a lot of mental health issue stuff happening so who knows if this was an episode. She still hasn’t even contacted our boss. Is this weird or is she right??
