Just wanted to share a good tip for maintenance of items that get that aged sticky plastic texture
99.9% isopropyl alcohol and a buffing cloth takes it off. If it's a flat surface, you can also scrape a bit off in between buffs with a guitar pick or plastic spoon. Some of the gunk might get on your hands, so wear a glove or rinse off every so often.
Apparently this happens with plastic "finishing" coatings factories use and it doesn't hold up to time even though the actual product is built to last. Over ear headphones are a good example.
It can also be a bit of a project where you might need to do sections at a time or several rounds. But it's been the best thing I've found that works. #lifestyle
