Ossuary at the Church of St. James
I took a detour away from a group tour on a company gathering to make sure I could visit the second largest ossuary in Europe next to the Paris catacombs.
It was amazing and horrifying. I was completely alone in the middle of the day. No other tourists. No tour guide. Just me and the remains of \~50k people.
I am afraid of death to the point of pathology, but being down here for a while was peaceful. I appreciated that they keep it dead quiet with no music or voiceover nonsense that you would almost certainly have to endure if this was in the US.
