Want to meet some locals and have a good night out, where's good?
Hi all, I'm in my mid-late 30s and lived in southern Japan for a little bit when I was younger (as in not able to visit the local Sunaku age). I'm heading over in July, and looking for somewhere where I can drink and hang out with some locals effectively to just practice my Japanese and make some friends in town.
I speak ok-ish Japanese, it's very rusty and since I was last there as a kid I have no idea some of the more adult type language that's used around things like alcohol and bars, so I'm looking for something maybe inhabited by bored salarymen or maybe something like a wine bar with a slightly older crowd. Is there anywhere in Tokyo I might be able to have a bit of fun and meet some people?
