After our bags and pockets, Apple has now set its sights on our homes, too 😁
HomeView, unveiled yesterday, is available for pre-order in the US at $299, with sales starting on November 13. It reportedly combines Siri AI, video calling, and smart home control into a single device.

For a product like this, whether it is still being used six months later is just as important as the initial sales figures. If it becomes a kitchen staple—used to check the calendar, play music, or monitor the doorbell camera—Apple will certainly become a part of more moments throughout the day.
That is where the investment opportunity lies. Service usage and other home products could be bundled with the device; for instance, certain camera features require an iCloud+ subscription. If this drives new paid subscriptions, it seems revenue could be generated well beyond the initial hardware sale.
Of course, Siri AI is initially limited to English, and the product isn't being released in the EU. Therefore, one shouldn't base growth projections on a global rollout from day one.
For a meaningful impact at Apple's scale, consistent usage and additional spending are required alongside sales volume. Its commercial value can only grow if it becomes a beloved habit within the home.
