How much energy are you giving to a life that no longer exists?
I have watched people spend years chasing something they can never catch.
The person they used to be.
The life they thought they should have had.
The relationship they believed should have worked.
The opportunity they wish they had taken.
The mistake they wish they could undo.
The past was real when you lived it, but it is no longer happening. What keeps it alive is the amount of energy you continue giving it today.
That is where we get stuck.
We stack the past onto the present and then wonder why life feels so heavy. We compare who we are today with an imaginary version of who we think we should have become.
But your power has never been back there.
It is here.
You cannot influence yesterday, but you can influence what you do with today. You can become aware of what you are carrying, take responsibility for what happens next, and choose differently.
Your True Self is not trapped inside an old version of your story. It is available every time you become present enough to choose instead of simply repeating.
So stop asking what your life could have been.
Ask yourself something much more powerful.
Who am I choosing to become from this moment forward?
You do not need yesterday to change before you can change today.
You only need to stop giving yesterday the power that belongs to you now.
