Don't trow away stuff just because it's old
My parents were about to throw away a big pile of old towels they had for years. They bought new ones and wanted to get rid of the old ones.
I saw the pile sitting near the door, ready to take them to the trash. I went through the pile and 2/3 of them still were good. No holes, still soft material. Obviously they are all different colours and patterns, but I don't really care. This way I don't need to buy new ones.
Yesterday I saw that one label stated, that the towel was made in west Germany, which means it was made around 1990 or earlier.
Obviously yes, some old things are beyond saving. But there are many old things that can still be used normally!
