How much has your taste in cars evolved over time, or has it mostly stayed the same?
I've loved muscle cars ever since I was a kid. I loved the biggest, loudest thing with the biggest motor. Loved the big B-Body big-block Mopars and big-block GMs. I had no love for something like an MX-5 or an S2000. Paid no mind to brakes or suspension or anything. Porsches never got any attention from me - they seemed overpriced and pretentious.
As time went on and I actually got some driving time under my belt, I've come to appreciate more balanced cars that were smaller in size. Saw the beauty and simplicity of a nice MX-5. I've still got a soft spot for American muscle cars, but like the "smaller" motors like the 5.0 Ford or the 5.7 LS over the big blocks, in a lighter car, with better brakes and better handling packages. Or the special edition ones like the IROC 1LE with the 305 and 5-speed, or the New Edge Mach 1 Mustangs.
And I've really come to appreciate the beauty of Porsches, like the aircooled 911 SC, or the modern Cayman GT-4.
All in all, still love an affinity for sporty two-doors with some go, but no longer obsess over absolute power numbers, and enjoy a balanced package and something that can rev. #cars source
