My route is about 7M, which calls for 35mm² cable.
35mm² won't fit in the charger, the max is 25mm², so I'll have to place my charger 4M away from the starter battery. This 4M length is the maximum I can do for voltage drop.
Running two lengths of 25mm² is fine, one from starter battery to the charger and one from the charger to my battery bank. It's cheaper than one length of 35mm² too!
Question is, the positive to the charger and then out to the battery bank is all ok at 25mm², but what about the negative from the starter battery to the power bank? This is still 7M, with no break in between.
Am I over thinking this, thinking they need to be the same gauge and length?
I'm not talking about the GROUND from the charger, I mean the negative from starter battery to my battery bank.
Bonus: what fuses are recommended before the batteries?
