Good erotic scenes in literature

I wrestled with myself over the idea of writing this post, because I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. So right of the bat I confess that I don't like sex or erotic scenes in books. Mainly because they often are extremely cringe. I guess it isn't only my problem, since there's an award for bad sex scenes in literature. Probably most of them fall into category "men writing women badly".

So I want to ask you, what erotic scenes you remember fondly or what makes erotic scene good?

In my case, two examples come to my mind. One was a sex scene in "The Name of the Rose" which was, as far as I remember, compilation of quotes from the Bible and another were erotic scenes in The Witcher series by Sapkowski (I know, it couldn't be more different pick), where author mostly focused on describing the foreplay leaving the act to reader imagination. And I guess this is the key to a good erotic scene - avoiding explicit description. Another example that comes to my mind were sex scenes in "The Handmaid's Tale", but they were good in very different way.
