: Indian Recruitment

I studied abroad and worked internationally for a few years before I decided to move back to India via internal transfer from a FAANGMULA company to be closer to family and to help with family businesses part-time which I now regret.

Most Indian recruiters and the people are leeches and dishonest. I've applied to a few roles because I wanted change and the experience has been a major disappointment. Some companies post fake listings to mine your data, some recruiters are least bothered, companies low-ball you, recruiters and the companies ghost you. I wanted to share my experience and name and shame some of the companies and recruiters.

1. **Evernorth and Talent500**: They use Talent500 to manage recruitment. Talent500 recruiters force you to attend interviews the very next day and then ghost you. Talent500 sends emails that you have been shortlisted for a job and asks you to apply. After a few minutes, you'll be auto rejected. They are master manipulators. I've had one interview but was ghosted later.
Recruiters: Samyuktha: +91 81212 03455 and Poornashri: +91 80740 95103

2. **Gap Inc.**: Applied online and got a reject after a few days. A hiring manager reached out after the rejection email saying I'll be a tight fit but wanted to know my current salary, RSUs and benefits and told me that she will call me back the next day. Several days has passed and no callback. They basically wanted to know my salary which is such a cheap tactic and abuse of their position.

HM name: Pranitha/Praneeta: +91 81429 58500

3. **Google Operations Center**: Received LinkedIn mails from couple of people asking me to submit my resume and my availability for a quick phone call to their google.com mails for roles at GOC. The LinkedIn mail also had PDF attachments of the role responsibilities. Got ghosted on both LinkedIn and email after sharing my resume. Again very unprofessional and data farming.

Recruiters: Sujana Mohanty: sujanam @ google.com
and Giridhar: pontapalli @ google.com

4. **Oracle**: Took a month from initial phone call to scheduling a recruiter call. Took another 3 weeks to schedule a phone screening via ZOOM. Received a response only after 2 follow-up emails after the phone screening saying they will get back in 3 days. Sent another email after 5 days but no response. Online portal was showing screening for nearly 5 months before getting an automated email saying "thank you for speaking with me recently but the position is now closed". Got a LinkedIn mail from another recruiter, krishnaveni, asking me to share my resume for a different role and asked me to share my resume, details and availability. Got ghosted after that.

Recruiters:
Pavan Nagireddi: +91 90108 71371, pavan.nagireddi oracle.com
Krishnaveni Bodepudi: krishnaveni.bodepudi @ oracle.com

5. **Opendoor**: Got ghosted after onsite. One of the interviewers started asking personal questions during the interview. Was so close to shooting the HR an email. HR wasn't a pain so decided not to expose them.

6. **Warner Bros Discovery**: The recruiter, a contractor, had no clue about the interview structure. Multiple scheduling and reschedulings at odd hours since some of the team is in the US. They wanted me to attend a meeting at 3:00 AM my time!

**The list is long and this post is a work in progress**
