When I first started thinking about generating revenue from a website, Google AdSense seemed like the obvious choice. I had heard about it everywhere, whereas other advertising networks remained in the shadows. Many webmasters likely make the same decision: they stick with what they know, simply because they lack the time, resources, or information to compare the alternatives.
There is also a more subtle concern: the fear of losing one’s AdSense account. Some worry that using other advertising networks might violate Google’s policies and lead to their account being disabled. Whether or not these fears are well-founded, they can be enough to discourage any experimentation. Over time, familiarity and caution become the primary reasons for remaining loyal to AdSense.
