Looking for locally sold playing cards in Berlin/Wolfsburg

Hi!

A friend of mine will be visiting Berlin and Wolfsburg, and I want to ask him to bring me back a deck (or two) of playing cards from Germany. 🙂

I already own lots of Bicycle and other USPCC decks (Bee, Tally‐Ho, Hoyle, Aviator, etc.), so this time I’m specifically looking for German brands that are easy to find in normal shops.

I’m hoping for:

• standard 52 cards + (at least 2) Jokers;

• preferably poker size (63×88 mm);

• paper cards (not plastic);

• decent everyday quality, something similar to USPCC/Cartamundi/MPC;

• something he can realistically find in supermarkets, toy stores, bookstores, kiosks, or game shops — not a rare collector item.

I’ve heard of ASS Altenburger and Piatnik, but I don’t know which exact (international‐style) decks are commonly sold in Germany or where people usually buy them.

If you live in Berlin or Wolfsburg, what decks should I tell him to look for, and what type of store would most likely have them?

Any tips, additional brand names, or specific deck names would really help.
