What's your story for getting into board games?

My friends and I were into uno, monopoly and business. After years of playing the same repetitive games, I finally found a board games club where 350+ board games exist. Now, I just visit the club on weekends to play.

That club sounds amazing with so many options. I started with simple card games too and then branched out to strategy ones like Catan. What drew you to the club first?
