Fixed my sticking RB button on my Elite 2 controller
I hope this doesn't break the rules, I'm not asking for help, just offering a tip that I hope will help someone out.
FAO: Anyone who finds that their expensive controller isn't much use once a bumper is constantly registering being pressed. Mine lasted about 3 and a half years, which isn't bad going, given how common problems are reported and I thought that might be it, but I wanted to give it a go.
There are various videos about fixing these on the internet, but may I recommend, removing the top shell and blasting the switch that is depressed when you press the button with WD40 Contact Cleaner (note: Not WD40. Contact Cleaner is a different product).
I used a lot of it, and gave it multiple treatments. Spray, mash the bumper button, spray, mash. Leave it.
Come back an hour or two later. Any better?
Repeat.
By the end, I'd used a lot of the can, so don't be shy with it.
